Dietikon, station area

Dietikon station is set to become a contemporary transport hub, while the station area will be transformed into a central part of the city with a high density of services and activities. The station building from 1977 will be maintained and expanded. As a part of the plans for the new bus and station space, the area around the station will be transformed into a more pleasant place to be. This new home for businesses, retail and restaurants will inject life into the city and encourage people to spend time there. To the north of the station, a lively continuation of the city centre will be built, offering housing with semi-private and green courtyards, as well as roof terraces, balconies and public-facing services at ground level. In addition, a service and office building will also be added to the mix. The new city centre will not only ensure more density, but also create a new, high-quality urban environment thanks to its interconnected open spaces, and biodiversity protection and heat reduction measures.
