Post Real Estate Ltd and SBB are planning a new urban ensemble based at the post office building located opposite the Basel station: the Nauentor. In addition to the expansive basic construction spanning the track, a four-storey base structure and three high-rise buildings are to be constructed. A main public street now cuts through the entire building complex. The plan features flexible-use service and office spaces plus shops and restaurants. Attractive apartments are to be constructed in the high-rise buildings.
