Zürich Stadelhofen station is an important landmark and transfer station for the city of Zurich. The number of passengers using Stadelhofen station is predicted to increase from around 80,000 today to 130,000 passengers a day by 2050. The Confederation’s plans for the 2030/2035 expansion step involve increasing capacity by building a fourth platform at low level. This involves expanding passenger access and infrastructure as necessary and building the connections required to existing rail lines below ground. The plan also includes new spaces for commerce and renovation of the existing facilities.
