Wettingen is located close to the commercial hubs of Zurich and Baden, nestled between the Lägern mountain and the Limmat river. The station area to the north of the railway tracks with a site area of around 37,500 m2 (design plan perimeter of various landowners) is being gradually transformed into a dense, lively and sustainable neighbourhood with a high quality of settlement and open spaces thanks to a comprehensive urban development project. The newly emerging district has excellent public transport links and offers space for several hundred apartments and plenty of premises for services, retail outlets and restaurants.
